Rolland Volunteers at the Ronald McDonald House

Last Thursday, a few members of the Rolland Team joined together with Ronald McDonald house to create a meal for sick children and their families.
The Ronald McDonald House accommodates up to 85 people, all of these are families with children who are too sick to live far away from the hospital. Ronald McDonald House offers them a place to stay that is not only in close proximity to hospital care, but also allows the families to be free from other stresses, like meals to feed their children.
This is where we come in. Rolland joins together every two months to create a worry-free and delicious dinner for the families at the house. This week we prepared chicken and beef fajitas with guacamole and sopapilla cheesecake for dessert!
Several family members, as well as other volunteers of the Ronald McDonald House, came to complement our meal. – Especially the sopapilla cheesecake. In fact, one woman who I had been talking with for a while eventually asked me who had created golden-brown cinnamon goodness. After being directed to the pastry mastermind across the room, the woman went over to him with another plate of cake and laughed, “Shame on you for making such a delicious dessert!”
It’s always great to know that we are making someone smile. We can’t wait for next time!

24 hours a day, every day of the year, you can reach Rolland Service to talk to a real person who can solve real problems.
